Description
Seiji Tanaka (8th Dan, JAA) was the captain of the first aikido club at Waseda University under Professor Kenji Tomiki in 1958. He was one of the founding board members of the Japan Aikido Association - USA and the founder of the Tomiki Sport Aikido Association - USA, which endeavors to continue the teachings of Professor Tomiki. He is well known in the Tomiki/Shodokan Aikido world.
Tanaka Shihan will be leading a one-day workshop, sponsored by the Manchester Budo Club and hosted by Granite State Aikido at the MPAL, 409 Beech St, Manchester, NH.
Space is limited to 50 aikidoka, but participation is open to all ranks. The recommended donation is $25 per participant. The Manchester Budo Club receives none of the proceeds.
UPDATE (4/6): We are still solidifying the booking of the room at the Downtown YMCA for Friday, April 28. The plan is to have an open mat 6:00-8:00pm.
UPDATE (1/22): There has been some interest in an open mat training time on Friday, April 28, for those traveling from around the country. We are working to make this happen at the Downtown YMCA (30 Mechanic St, Manchester, NH). We will update you as information becomes available.
